Ecological constructions instead of thermal radiators

Our pilot project of the green building and „island“ LIKO-Noe, whose perimeter walls are made of living green facades and the rooftop is made of water purification using plants, has again shown in the best light! Yesterday, we performed the comparative measurements of classical building and the green façade of unique LIKO-Noe building and the result was huge difference in temperatures. During the largest solar heat of a day the temperatures were 55 °C vs. 33 °C in favour of green façade.Results shows, that green facades are a solution for modern building – instead of present constructions as thermal radiators, green facades represent ecological and environmentally friendly approach to the environment. LIKO-Noe is the way to stop “building desert”.

Biggest project in Bulgaria so far

One of the tallest buildings in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia, „City Tower“, a 20 storey building offering offices and retail areas will have our partitions Micra I and Micra II. Eight floors of this important and big project of our partner Dorion Bulgaria is already in the process of installation. We are looking forward to the completed project and we can´t wait to publish photos of newly finished offices.

Faster and more precise

Our business division Production keeps on attempting to be technologically independent and be able to compete on the market. Our latest technology purchased is the water jet cutter PTV WJ3020. This machine is in comparison with the previous one faster, more precise and more economical. Its biggest advantage is the 3D rotating head. That means that it can also cut materials under angle which releases space of other operations, for example cnc milling. All these features enable us to increase the speed of production of our orders and satisfy current and new customers.

Our family business celebrated 25 years

The last day of June, 25th anniversary of the foundation of our company was celebrated in a family atmosphere in LIKO-S´s property in Slavkov. During the afternoon and evening, 450 participants – company employees with their couples and children, company friends and guests – had the opportunity to enjoy a friendly and cheerful garden party atmosphere.Libor Musil, chairman of LIKO-S´s board of directors, briefly informed about the history of the company and also mentioned the current stage of its handing over to the next generation. He said that what company does now, without exaggeration belongs the to the best in the world. In the end, along with his wife, Vice-chairman of the board, Jana Musil, he thanked all the employees for honest work, without them the company would not achieve today´s excellent results.The entire meeting was dedicated to family members of staff who have a great thank-you for their support, especially to their children on the occasion of the end of the school year. Children had the opportunity to try the crafts of their parents in a contest and enjoy adrenaline attractions. Soon we will welcome in our company Indian craftsmen

Head of our metal production Petr Hrabovský has travelled to India and with support of our partner, Mr. Prakash, is selecting welders and locksmiths, who are interested to work in our company. He tested 12 guys, their abilities like drilling, deburring and precise welding according to drawing. Most of them are welding very well, difficult shapes as well.Petr deserves big praise for great job as well as communication in English, which he is learning for less than a year. Congratulations!

Our Icynene® insulation foam helping in Pisa, Italy

We have the honour to help in reconstruction of one of the most famous cathedrals of the world – Santa Maria Assunta, located in Pisa, next to the famous leaning tower on Piazza dei Miracoli (English: Square of Miracles). Our Italian partners from Fastizol, Daniele and Giuliano Gualeni, used the Icynene insulation foam in an unconventional way. Thanks to its features, they have created precise molds for storing the mosaic on the cathedral floor, while they clean it.

LIKO-S Export Conference for our international partners

Last week we have organised a major three-days konference for the 25. anniversary of LIKO-S. The conference was held in a motto „We are family“ – to express that LIKO-S builds not only relations but we try to emphasize the partnership and being part of business family. This major event hosted partners from 9 European countries (Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Belgium and other) but also our important business partner from India. The working part of the programme included workshops on sales, debrief and R&D presentations. The leisure part was with the ship cruise on Vltava river, where we awarded our most important partners. This was the biggest export event organised in company´s history and it all ended up very successfully. We thank very much to all of our partners for having a great time together within our LIKO-S business family!

Our glass partitions under membrane foil

Recently, there has been festive opening of the Czech Institute of informatics, robotics and cybernetic in the Czech Technical University. The low energy building has quite unique facade that is composed of external clear insulating membrane foil ETFE that is hanged independently on iron construction and the inner glass facade of raster type. Particular rooms of this moder complex – working rooms, laboratories, business incubator, presentation premises – are equipped with LIKO-S System walls.

Specific environmental benefits of LIKO-Noe®

We bring you specific data of the benefits of our LIKO-Noe for the environment: the building took 250m2 of meadow, but created 352m2 of green area, which produces 598,4 kg of oxygen per year (1,7kg / m2 / year) and consumes 809,6 kg of carbon dioxide (2,3kg / m2 / year). It manages water very efficiently and provides heat stabilization. In addition, it dampens ambient noise by 8 dB. On a single building it´s pretty good performance! And what then, when there will be more object like that.

We have recently delivered our Vacuwall® mobile partition – a wall with quick and variable possibilities to divide workspaces – to restaurant Café Passage in Martin, Slovakia.
