Architecture students from India, Turkey, Spain, Mexico, USA, Philippines and Pakistan came to see how sustainability can be implemented in architecture and create a pleasant place to live. As part of the excursion, we introduced them to why it is important to build #HousesLikeTrees and how they can help mitigate the urban heat island effect. They then experienced first-hand how such buildings affect their surroundings and enthusiastically set about exploring them.
Last year, we already welcomed students who came to the Czech Republic for a study and work placement through ECCEDU to our campus in Slavkov u Brna and this year was no different. We believe that by educating young people and providing them with relevant information, we can mitigate or even reverse the effects of climate change, which is steadily gaining momentum and is already having a clear impact. This is the only way to create a future that has a future.
